In order to set up your Google Local page, you are going to need a few things: a Gmail or g-suite account email, a local business directory.

Type in your business name into a Google search and your business should show up in the right-hand sidebar. If your business is already in Google Maps and you aren’t the registered owner and it hasn’t been claimed then you can go ahead and make a claim on the business to have access to it.

Once you have access to it you can change the phone number, website, business hours, and much more.

If the business has already been claimed then you will need to go through a long process of taking control of it. You can make a claim on a business that is already claimed but Google will need to verify that the current owners aren’t correct first. This usually takes about a week and if there are no responses from the current registrant then Google Maps will transfer the ownership to you.
